Story

I am writing this message to the friends and family of Luke and Amber. Please take a couple of minutes to read it.

As I’m sure you are all aware, Teddy Jaxson Potter was born on 16th September. He was 16 weeks and 4 days premature weighing only 1lb 4oz. Today at 8 weeks old he is still in intensive care in Bristol, he has managed to battle against many odds of his survival and is growing stronger all the time. Luke, Amber and Teddy still have a long and possibly bumpy journey ahead of them before they will all be able to come home. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the lovely comments and messages you send them, I know that all of your love and support helps to keep them strong.

On the 13th October whilst Luke and Amber were asleep an uninsured, drunk driver crashed into Amber’s car, which has resulted in it being written off. There’s never a good time for anyone to lose a car due to the great daily inconvenience that this causes, but for Luke and Amber having the car was their little piece of sanctuary giving them a chance to get a little break away from the hospital, either buying something for Teddy or going out for some lunch. At the moment they are lucky enough to be staying just 10 minutes walk away from the hospital, but things will become much harder when Teddy moves back to Taunton hospital. Amber also needs a car for when she returns to work.

So, what is this message all about? Well, the amount of money that the insurance company are going to give to Amber doesn’t even cover the amount that she still owes on it. She will still need to pay approximately £850 to end her finance deal and then still have no car. I am writing to ask if you might be able to give a donation towards helping them, firstly finish paying for the old car and then help to buy another one. If money is tight for you please don’t give anything just continue showing your support with your lovely messages. If, however you feel you could afford to make a donation this really would be very much appreciated.

Luke and Amber are too proud to ask for your help themselves (which is why I am asking you), but I know from reading your messages many of you wish you could help them. Thank you for taking the time to read all of this message. xxx
