I've raised £1500 to Help send me to Tanzania to volunteer as a dental nurse to aid individuals in a considerable amount of physical and mental pain.

I have been offered this amazing opportunity to be sent to Tanzania in Africa for 3 weeks as of the 18th of February 2018 to volunteer out of my own time to aid individuals in huge amounts of pain due to there not being access in third world countries to safe health care. I will be sent to aid individuals and to do this I need to fundraise £1,500 to cover My own fees ans to raise money for the chairty Bridge2aid. All money raised will be sent to the charity in order to fund my place in the programme.
My Story
Around 10 months ago (29th of January 2017) i had a life changing injury. I broke my L1 vertabrae and was paralysed in the left side of my body. I was rushed to Walton in Liverpool for an emergency operation with i recovered 7 hours later. I had to learn to walk again and it was the most terrifying thing I have ever had to face at just the age of 18. Because of this, it has made me realise we must appreciate every second and the little things like being able to walk and talk. I am desperate to complete this project and help others the way i was helped by giving safe and effective health care and support.
Bridge2Aid fights the causes of poverty in some of the poorest communities in the developing world. We do this by strengthening local healthcare systems – specifically by training local healthcare workers in the provision of emergency dental treatment. Oral disease, infection and chronic pain desperately need to be addressed in these communities to enable people to work, attend school and care for their families. Our sustainable training model provides local health workers with the essential skills they need to improve the lives of people in these local communities for the long term. Initially we have developed our programme in rural Tanzania, and our long term plan is to roll this training out to any country where there is a need.
Please donate anything you can large or small as this is an amazing oppertunity that I am extremely proud to have been chosen for out of many applicants. I will be given a chance to give safe and effective health care and to change lives and not only physical pain, but mental pain and to put back smiles on faces that have been in pain for a long time. Please help me to do this!
