Thank you for participating in the B O X for B L M event. This just giving page has been set up to help support Shukri Abdi's family fight for justice.

Shukri was a 12 year old Somali refugee who sadly lost her life after drowning in a river in Greater Manchester.  At the time of her death Shukri was believed to have been with peers who provoked her getting into the river knowing she was unable to swim. Her body is believed to be found with bite marks making but the case was dismissed as a 'tragic accident'. Shukri and her family have not received any justice or support for this . This is an example of another Black life that has been lost and overlooked. We need to fight for justice for Shukri and all other Black Lives that haven't receive proper investigation.
