I've raised £3000 to the Lowen Ward Treliske Hospital in memory of Spencer Robertson

My dad, Spencer was a hero. He fought so hard for the past 2.5 years but unfortunately cancer won the battle this time. He passed away peacefully on the 20th February 2021 on the Lowen Ward at Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske , where he spent his final week. I couldnt have wished for him to have been looked after any better, the nurses and staff ensured my dad was comfortable, washed, fed and as peaceful as he could be. Throughout his whole battle he had never received such amazing care and kindness from the staff. The nurses made it possible for me and my sister to both say goodbye to my dad and I will be grateful for that forever. The ward provided a bed for my step mum to be by his side until the end and I am confident that made dad feel at peace.
I will be walking 10,000 steps every day for a month from March 13th and ending on April 13th which would have been my dads 51st birthday. Please donate anything you can to help ensure that the Lowen ward can continue to help end of life patients feel as comfortable and dignified as they did with my dad. Also to allow other family’s to have the same support me and my family received. The Lowen Ward specialises in looking after haematology, oncology and palliative patients, with a range of specialist nurses who are there to provide excellent care and support to their patients.
