Iʼve raised £4,439 to make Heidi's dream come true to go to Disneyland Paris with her Grandchildren while she still can

    Story

We are reaching out for your help

Some of you may know Heidi and some of you may find yourself on this page after talking to our team or following a link from Facebook, how you come to this page doesn't matter, what matters is what you do next

Heidi is Sedero Lounge's focus for Loungeaid this year and in addition to raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Action we will also be raising money to send Heidi and her children and grandchildren to Disneyland Paris as she has always wanted take them there.
Heidi's Grandson is obsessed with Woody and Buzz and her wish is to take them to Disneyland.

"I want to see my Grandson's face when he sees Woody and Buzz walk past"

Heidi is one of one first employees I hired before we had even opened Sedero Lounge in 2017, back when interviews were held wherever sold good coffee in Reading and Wokingham and she is one of the most amazing women you will ever meet.
Heidi has been unwell for the past year but continued to smash it on shift whilst trying to find out why she felt so ill. Over the past year she has had multiple appointments and tests with no answers.

A few weeks ago Heidi felt even worse than usual and ended up being taken to A&E by ambulance, the result of this was more tests and then at the end of January Heidi was told after a final investigation of a ct scan that she has stage 3/4 pancreatic cancer and that it's now too late for surgery, therefore making the cancer terminal.

Heidi is 48 years old, so extremely young to have this diagnosis and feels that this could be why pancreatic cancer was probably overlooked as an option of a diagnosis.
An earlier diagnosis could have meant a very different outcome!

Please if you can donate to this fundraising page so that we can make Heidi's dream come true and give her something to look forward to and focus on during the difficult journey ahead.

Thank you from all of us at Sedero Lounge and our sister Lounge's for your help and support xx

Today is Heidi's birthday and after a recent stint in the Royal Berkshire Hospital for pain management she is home and celebrating her birthday with her friends and family. With pain now mostly under control after having a nerve block she is focusing on choosing a clinical trial and has seen specialists at Guys and John Radcliff and is feeling very postive. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, we are blown away by everyone's support and kindness.

A little update. Yesterday morning Heidi was 999’d into the royal Berks as she was in excruciating pain in her back and abdomen. Heidi spent the night there last night and hopefully they have got her meds right so that she don’t have to experience pain like it again. Heidi has been discharged and is now at home. We are hoping she will be contacted by John Radcliffe hospital soon to be told that she is eligible for trials by them now we know that the chemo hasn’t worked for her. The fights still not over xxx❤️❤️❤️

Unfortunately last week Heidi was told that the chemotherapy hasn't worked and unfortunately the cancer has spread to her Liver, the Doctors made the decision to stop chemotherapy and now Heidi and her family are now looking into Patient trials to see if she is a suitable candidate to try something new. We are pushing on with our fundraising and are more determined than ever to send her and her family to Disneyland as soon as we can and we know that with your continued support we can achieve this.
