Story
Mum came to Denver on 16th April along with Dad, Theresa, and John. They came to meet the newest addition to the family.
On Good Friday, we took Mum to the hospital for what we thought would be just some simple oxygen support. This is not an uncommon thing with Denver’s altitude. She was transferred immediately to an isolation room in intensive care, suffering from a very aggressive leukaemia. Unfortunately the illness was advancing much too fast for any treatment to be effective. We said goodbye at 2:30pm on the 25th April.
On Monday 29th April, a Funeral Mass was celebrated at St Catherine of Siena Parish in Denver, Colorado. The funeral was directly preceded by our baby's baptism, so that she could be together with us as we had originally planned. She was cremated and laid to rest on Friday 3rd May at Olinger Highlands cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
A memorial Mass will be held in England on 17th May, please contact anne@designtofashion.com for details if you wish to attend.
We would like to request that instead of sending flowers any of you who wish to send something would consider sending a donation to help offset expenses. All extra funds will be donated to one of Mum's favourite charities. We sincerely hope that the travel insurance will cover all the costs of Louise’s hospital expenses, although unfortunately we cannot take this for granted.
