I've raised £7500 to help support The Intensive Care Unit, St Mary's, IOW and The Donor Family Network.

12 cyclists will be riding from Newport, Isle of Wight to St Andrews, Scotland, in memory of Darren Andrew, a fellow cyclist.
In early January 2018 a much loved cyclist, runner and all round sportsman, Darren Andrew, tragically passed away due to a bacterial meningitis infection.
In memory of Darren, family, close friends and fellow cyclists are riding from St Thomas’s Square in Newport to the 18th hole of St Andrews golf course in Scotland. This ride is to celebrate the life of a much loved, honest, loyal, caring man with an amazing sense of humour. The ride will pass through many places in the country that have significant links to his life.
As part of the ride the team will be raising money for the Intensive Care Unit at St Mary’s where Darren was looked after during his short illness and the Donor Family Network who provide support to every donor family. Darren was able to donate his heart, liver and both kidneys to people who desperately needed them and his lungs and pancreas to research, so he is continuing to help other people and their families as he would have wanted to.
The ride will leave St Thomas’s square on Saturday 4th August and arrive at St Andrews on Monday 13th August 2018.
