I've raised £3000 to support my volunteering work with the OM Doulos Hope Ship (August-November 2024)

My name is Louisa, and I was recently accepted to serve on the Operation Mobilization Ship, Doulos Hope. I will join an international team of volunteers in Malaysia in August and serve for 3 months, travelling to various ports across southeast Asia. On the ship, we work with the crew serving with ship duties, catering, bookfair and galley (the ship’s kitchen). We then have ministry days where we go out into the communities, to offer practical help and share the hope of the gospel alongside local churches and partner agencies.
OM Ships have been operating for over 50 years, and have visited over 480 different ports in 151 countries and welcomed over 50 million visitors on board. “Doulos Hope” means “servant of hope, and the boat is a centre for outreach and community care with the goal to share hope, help and knowledge in every port we visit.
I am raising funds to cover my travel, medical and accommodation costs, and would so appreciate any donation that you are able to give that can help me get to Malaysia in August! If I can offer you my services in babysitting or housecleaning or other odd jobs, please get in touch!
