I am trying to raise money to help out Kenzy's family. Kenzy is a wee lad in Warddykes PS Arbroath that is awaiting a liver transplant and I am the Senior Clerical who thought she had retired from fundraising, but mum and dad told me the story about Kenzy who is awaiting a Liver transplant and I felt I needed to help out.
Kenzy was born 10/04/09 at 6 weeks 1 day Kenzy was flown by air ambulance from Ninewells to London @ 6 weeks 5 days he under went an operation to help prolong his livers life. This was called a Kassi and was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia. Kenzy also has an enlarged spleen, squint knees, has had his gallbladder removed and also a Hernia from his Kassi, he also has Accites, Portal Hypertension and Pruritus. Kenzy is now on a live transplant waiting list so can go to London anytime. The problem is the family get transport down but mum and dad need to find accommodation when they get there and transport home and any other minor detail when they are down there this could happen more than once it just depends if the transplant is compatible, so every time they go down they need to find the accommodation etc, but we are praying the first time will be successful. Kenzy is on oxygen 24/7 even at school but he just gets on with life the best way he can he is a credit to his parents Nicky and Michelle. Nicky is a full-time chef as well as helping Michelle to look after the family and they both dote on them all. They are always up for a laugh when they come into school as they have to bring and pick up Kenzy 4 times a day and this is the reason I want to help them out.
