Weʼre raising £20,000 to help fund Jenni's treatment for Peritoneal Metastasis (Bowel Cancer)
Don't have time to donate right now?
Our amazing, kind, beautiful best friend Jenni was diagnosed with Stage 3 Bowel Cancer in January 2021. Jenni is super mummy to our gorgeous little two year old Florence Elizabeth, and adored so so much by anybody and everybody who has the pleasure of knowing her. Jenni has shown courage and bravery in abundance over the last 22 months, her strength and determination to beat this disease has been nothing short of remarkable . This is an extraordinarily difficult time for Jenni and her family and we are looking to raise funds to aid Jenni's next round of treatment in hope that this will allow her to live the longer life that she so deserves with her beautiful daughter.
After the successful removal of the tumor in January 2021, Jenni underwent chemotherapy until September 2021 and was given the all clear post treatment.
By January 2022, after a bout of sepsis, a further investigations found that the cancer had returned and this time was end stage bowel cancer - Peritoneal Metastases, an aggressive cancer that generally has a poor prognosis. By March 2022, Jenni had underwent total pelvic clearance surgery, resulting in two stoma bags and a hysterectomy, in an attempt to remove all the tumors in her abdominal area.
After 6 months of healing, a review scan and blood tests showed signs of regrowth in her lungs, and potential spread.
Jenni is due to go through yet more intensive chemotherapy, and we, her friends and family, are aiming to raise funding for private treatment for an antibody drug to work along side the chemotherapy to enhance her chances of the treatment being a success, this is not currently available on the NHS as it only has a 50/50 chance of working.
We know the cost of living is affecting everybody at this time, and we don't not want anybody to feel obligated to donate - but we feel, as her friends, any funds that Jenni and her family have should be spent on making memories with Jenni's daughter Florence and securing her future.
So please, if you are able to donate, we are eternally grateful, as every penny will help towards a brighter future for our beloved friend, Jenni xx
