Dear Supporter
We would like to inform you about our fabulous playgroup Lordswood Under 5’s. We
are certain that all parents, both past and present, would agree that the setting holds
a very special place in all our hearts. Over the years, all the aunties have worked
hard to help build a solid and supportive foundation for our children. They have
helped to shape the future generation in a nurturing, constructive environment with
countless high-class opportunities.
The playgroup has been running for over 40 years with some of the parents being
former children themselves! They are a charity run playgroup which has gained an
Outstanding by OFSTED. They are one of the few places that have managed to
secure government funding to expand in order to meet the growing demand of
places both funded sessions and non-funded sessions.
This is fantastic news for the setting and everyone is working very hard to make sure
the expansion is a success. However, the government funding does not meet all the
costs for this wonderful opportunity.
To help the setting, the committee have organised a sponsored walk. This will take
place on Monday 20th August 2018 at 11 am.
Any donations towards this would be gratefully received. We are going to use the
money raised to develop the garden and outside areas for the children to continue to
benefit from outdoors learning.
