Story

Hosting a LAN party is a lot of work. And the single biggest and most important task in hosting a LAN party is finding an appropriate venue. We’ve been hosting BreachLAN out at the Logie Durno Village Hall for a decade now, and in that time we’ve built up a great professional relationship. The hall is maintained and run exclusively volunteers.

In addition to BreachLAN, the hall provides a valuable meeting space to youth groups like the scouts, fitness groups like the kettlebell club as well as services for older people such as coffee mornings and bake sales.

And now, they need our help. The Covid19 pandemic has affected everyone the world over, and small community centres and groups have been some of the hardest hit. Some of the planned improvements to the hall have had to be put on hold and even now although they are able to resume limited services for some of the more vulnerable community members, they have a reduced revenue stream and an increased cost of operating.

We want to help the hall out by raising them some money. We hope that with some financial assistance the hall will be able to continue providing support services to vulnerable locals who need it as well as getting their improvement programs back on track ready for us when we are able to return.
