Following a great response to our initial campaign to raise £13,500, we have increased our target to an ambitious £85,000.

Local business Mowi Scotland kicked off donations with £13,500 to cover half the cost of a new roof for the pool and has launched a fundraising campaign to encourage other local businesses, as well as individuals, to donate. Eilean Donan Castle and Conchra Charitable Trust have now also donated £10,000.

This leaves £61,500 left to raise!

The overall target of £85,000 would fund extensive repair work to the leisure centre building, including reroofing the entire building, improving access inside and out for patrons with mobility issues, a fire suppressant systems upgrade, electrical works, repainting the outside of the building and redecoration inside.

Lochalsh Leisure Centre is used by 100 people a day from Lochalsh and the local vicinity.

We're now calling on other local businesses and the community to help us raise the remaining funds. All support is greatly appreciated.
