Awutu Winton Senior High School was set up by the EDP (Educational Development Projects) Trust in 2010, as the only fee-free secondary school in south Ghana. It is located in the impoverished area of Awutu-Bereku, 50km west of Accra, and provides further education for disadvantaged students.
I have been lucky enough to be chosen for one of Canford School's partnership trips to the school in Ghana. 10 other Canfordians and I will be working with the Awutu students by taking part in lessons, participating in after school activities like music and sport and doing a DIY project for the school, we will also be spending some time teaching at Saltponds Happy Primary School.

In order to raise money for the school I will be swimming the length of the English Channel, which is 21 miles, in a swimming pool. I'm currently training every other day in my school swimming pool so I'm able to complete it. I will be doing this during my summer half term. Any donations would be massively appreciated.
