Liskeard Radio is a local community radio station and was financed initially by John. It broadcasts once a year on a short-term licence, is run entirely by volunteers, and is currently based at Liskeard School & Community College.

The station aims to reach out to the community of Liskeard, and to support and promote local businesses and organisations.

Now in its 5th year, the station is seeking a permanent premises, and to broadcast year round. It is currently seeking charitable status, which will facilitate applying for grants to enable it to meet its aims fully.

John believed that Liskeard Radio would attract people who do not usually engage with community activities, and inform people how much happens in their town.
