Sadly 20 weeks ago Dawn Herschell's world fell apart when she was diagnosed with cancer. She has undergone radio and chemotherapy and this has shrank the tumour in her lung and prevented growth on the tumours in the brain . Dawn was recently admitted to St Columba's hospice as the cancer had reached her bones and she was in extreme pain. The hospice are managing her pain now and getting Dawn prepared and strong for her next round of chemo (if upcoming scans allow). The family have been looking at alternative clinical trials, one being mistletoe treatment. Dawn has been given the go ahead but this comes at a huge cost. Whilst we know she will not be cured it will buy her time, time that this amazing woman thoroughly deserves. Myself and Davie Martin, who are close to the family have asked if we can help them. Whilst reluctant at first the family have now given us the go ahead. Dawn, Gary and the boys truly appreciate the support at this difficult time, they could not do it without you all.
