Story
This page has been set up in memory of Linda Pope.
Linda Pope loved the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and, after her retirement, spent many happy days there as a volunteer. For this reason, Roger, Alexis and Ian have chosen to seek donations in her memory to support the Rye Harbour Discovery Centre Appeal, which is funding a fantastic new Visitor Centre. They know Linda was excited about the project. Obviously the more money raised in her memory the better, but the family originally proposed £501 as that figure meant her name could be remembered in a frieze of Golden Plovers to be displayed in the main lobby of the centre. They felt this would be a wonderful setting for family and friends to visit and to remember Linda.
Thanks to the generous donations so far, we have already raised enough to buy a bird in Linda’s memory. However please keep giving to support this worthy cause. We will close this page on 31st January 2020. Thank you.
