Story

''The Spartan Challenge has now been cancelled by organisers of the event'

On World Mental Health Day October 10th the team from Lightbody Health CIC Brian Lightbody, Paul Growney will now be taking on the ‘Carry that Weight Challenge’.

In 2019, 39 people died by suicide in Liverpool, . Brian, Paul are going to walk 26.3 miles (full marathon distance) along the coastal roads from Southport to Liverpool John Lennon Airport carrying 39kg in weight each.

Each kg in weight symbolising one life lost to suicide in 2019 and also symbolising the heavy burden of mental health of people who are suffering.

All monies raised will go to Lightbody Health CIC to support the development of walk and talk groups supporting people struggling with mental health.

We are aiming to raise money for new local social enterprise Lightbody Health CIC. We aim to raise £1000 to support the development of Lightbodys Health mental health support programmes.
