As the family of Dad (Colin Levett), we (Edé, Albert, Nicole and Alabama) are determined to keep dads legacy alive through his music. He was a loving father, partner and son, but as anybody who knew dad in the slightest way would know his passion was and always will be music.

I am sure reading this you have a personal memory tying a moment in time that you have experienced with our dad where in some way, shape or form music is intertwined. By that I mean, you have danced while he is gracing the decks, or had a conversation about that one song that was on the tip of your tongue but you couldn't quite grasp the name and dad came to the rescue. Or perhaps it was your birthday and you received an exclusive vinyl, CD or track that knocked it out the park.

Dad enriched our lives with his talent, creativity and raw love for the nu disco, house, hip hop and a host of other genres. With his mixes, which he has been publishing online for the last 10 years he has truly left behind an authentic trail of inspiration.

While dad was in the ICU after being admitted on the 1 July 2022 we all found comfort listening to his mixes, after he passed away 9 July 2022 we managed to get into his Mac in his studio and we discovered a number of tracks labeled 'Lev Said It'. We think that dad had plans to release an EP (Extended Playlist). We have also found out that he had commissioned a popular vocalist to complete some work for him. Consequently, we have been in contact with the vocalist and he is cooperating with us.

We think and feel as a family that dad has unfinished business, which is why we are raising some funds to produce a track in his memory. We are planning to keep everyone in the loop with the project through social media and we feel like we will be able to do it exactly how dad would have wanted it! Proper! As he would say. Then he will have the last words, they will be 'Lev Said It' 🆑
