Story
Some of you might already know, but my son Jackson had to have brain surgery in Ninewells Hospital in January 2016. This surgery was urgent and vital for him to progress in life, and ultimately to live!
Through the whole ordeal, the outstanding work of all the nurses, doctors and play assistants on Ward 29 was amazing and I know that without them I would not have my son with me today.
I have been lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to walk across the new Queensferry Crossing on Saturday 2nd September 2017.
As this is a bit of a once in a lifetime experience, I wanted to do something that would really mark it and do a bit of good at the same time.
Can you please allow me to show these invaluable people of Ward 29 mine, and your, appreciation by donating some money to this wonderful ward at Ninewells and help them to continue to provide a wonderful service to ill children and their families and sponsor my walk across the new bridge?

7 years agoOnly a week to go! Can't believe the time has flew in so quickly! Still time for anyone out there to fling me a few quid to give to the Kids Ward at Ninewells (wee subtle hint haha). Eternally grateful to all who have donated, but me being me, I'm sure there's more we can do to continue to show our support and appreciation to the selfless staff of Ward 29. There's still a good few weeks until I walk the new bridge, so if you have even a £1 spare, please donate and help to ease the stress and suffering of kids and their families who find themselves on the ward. Alleviating extra stress on kids and their parents is so important. Thanks again Leigh ❤️❤️
