1998 i joined the Royal Air Force, i planned on a long career however in 2009 my path took a different turn, i sustained an injury to my ankle leaving it badly damaged, i was put through multiple surgeries which led to even more complications, i went through various therapies and was put on multiple medication but nothing .

In 2013 my lower right leg was amputated due to the pain i was in and 3 years later medically discharged from the air force, during my years of injury i have suffered mental health difficulites as well as physical but i have had the support of veteran charities including Blesma, a british veteran charity that helps with many thing such as mental health support, prosthetic support activities and much more, and then there is Wounded Warrior Project an American charity i have seen do fantastic work and despite me not being a US veteran they have had me on 2 of their soldier rides, i have made amazing friendships with US veterans and WWP staff members, they even have invited me to join in with the recent virtual soldier rides which have put a big smile on my face.

So what i want to do is raise funds for these charities that have helped me, that really mean something to me, so they can continue to support other veterans that are in need in difficult times in their lives, to keep them pushing on and have the best lives they can despite mental or physical disabilities.
