Family and community meant the world to Siobhán, so to celebrate what would have been her birthday weekend, we are holding a Family Fun Day at Bellaghy Wolfe Tones GAC Grounds on 20th May 2023 to remember our much loved Siobhán and raise funds for the charities who supported her and her family during her illness.
Without the help of Marie Curie and Northern Ireland Hospice, we would have struggled to keep Siobhán at home as she neared the end of her illness. They supported and guided us during her final weeks, providing much needed respite to us, her family, and tender care to Siobhán when she needed it most. We want to give back to these charities and ensure other families are also able to access their services when needed.
Siobhán was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2021. Due to the agressive nature of brain tumours, they are extremely difficult to treat, and the NHS treatment plan hasn't changed in decades. Despite this, she remained positive throughout.
Siobhán loved family more than anything else in the world. She was the best daughter, sister, friend, wonderful wife to Martin and mummy. Her proudest and most precious achievement was her four children; Oisin, Laoise, Ruairi & Tiernan. It was the love for her family that carried her through her illness and gave her the sheer determination to try to fight it, right up until the very end. Sadly, Siobhán passed away on 7 November 2022.
Please donate and share so we can raise as much as possible for Marie Curie and Northern Ireland Hospice.
