Lee left us suddenly on 29 September. We had no time to prepare or say goodbye. We are all in shock.

Thinking about him we run out of superlatives. He was the most wonderful father to Sophie and Abigail and the perfect partner of Caroline. He was knowledgeable, capable, practical, respected, and, simply, a 'a great guy to know'.

I'm Caroline's dad and, like all fathers, I doubted that there'd be a man who I considered good enough for her. As soon as I met Lee I knew she'd found the perfect person. I set the bar very high, and he soared over it.

Sophie and Abigail have lost a very special daddy and now have to grow up without him.

Lee was in contact with work colleagues around the world and we hear that they, too, held him in high regard and share the loss with his family. They asked me to set up a Happy Fund so that they could contribute something for the benefit of Lee's beloved girls. And they've been joined by many people who know the family.

The money collected will be used to buy the girls special treats in the years to come; such as on birthdays, holidays and Christmas.

Every time time it will remind the girls of a very special Daddy who loved them so much, courtesy of the friends who thought so much of Lee.
