Sunday 26th July 2020 would be Paul’s 41st birthday. Harrison, Rafferty and I wanted to mark this very special day with something memorable and fitting for him. As a Memorial Day is not possible at present we have decided to ask and bring together Raffertys football team Bridlington Rangers Peacocks junior fc and embark on a sponsored memory walk on Saturday 25 July 2020 to help raise money for the self funded football team Paul helped to coach. The team brought Paul so much joy, not only as a Dad having his favourite player to watch on the pitch, but also coaching an amazing set of boys who have progressed so much as junior footballers. It was Pauls absolute pleasure to coach them and the bond between the boys is like no other.

We are a football family and it would only be right raising money for the team that is so close to ours and Pauls heart and to do this with them by our side on a somewhat happy/sad day. Paul was also keen to support local charities and community projects so the final figure will be split between Rangers Peacocks and a chosen charity/project (TBC)

The 5 mile route will start at 9am on Saturday 25th July from Sewerby cricket pitch, down the sea front, across the Harbour, we will continue along the south promenade and up the hill at the water treatment works, down Kingston Rd and kings gate with the final stretch up Bessingby road, past Bridlington school and down well lane to finish at Pauls beloved Pitch 6 at the CYP!! Feel free to support us on the route or at the end as we raise a glass to Paul in the Harpers Bar and provide a snack for the boys.

We will be adhering to social distancing and all government guidelines at the time.
