Hi everyone,

As many of you know, our brave boy Thor (though not so little anymore) now relies on a wheelchair. He’s already been through more than most could imagine — three open-heart surgeries, operations on his spine and stomach, and he lives every day with spina bifida, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and several other complex medical conditions.

Despite all of this, our local council and government don’t believe he needs any additional support at his new school. Thor is starting high school this September — a huge step for any child — but the school is built on a steep hill, and he’s been denied assistance for a powered wheelchair. Without it, getting around will be incredibly difficult, if not impossible, for him.

After a lot of hesitation, and following the advice of some local charities, we’ve decided to set up a crowdfund. I’ve always been reluctant to ask again, especially knowing how generous so many of you have already been. But this is for Thor, and so I’m putting pride aside and asking for help once more.
