I've raised £500 to S&O's 77km Challenge

In 2018, it was reported that there were over 6,500 suicides registered in the UK. Of that number, around 77% of suicides were male - making suicide the single biggest killer in men under the age of 45.
On Saturday 28th of November, Laura and I are going to cover a distance of 77km to represent the percentage of suicides committed by men in the UK. We aim to do this by running 50km and walking 27km in and around Edinburgh city centre. The route that we plan to follow can be seen at the top of this page.
We are completing this challenge to raise money for a new charity, co-founded by a close friend, called Support & Offload. Support & Offload aims to connect those in need of support, to sport and exercise networks/clubs in order to try and combat mental health. They aim to make this connection via their primary objectives of "safe space drop ins.” The drop in sessions will provide a relaxed, judgement free environment to talk about mental health and discuss the benefits that physical activity has on an individuals mental health. In addition to providing this sporting connection, they are also setting up contractual links to mental health professionals and medical practitioners. This provides an easy, stress free link for people who feel they need medical support.
