Story
Reynalds Cross School (Solihull) create a safe, supportive & fun environment that nurtures individuality & enables every child to flourish to be the best they can be. The school use therapy dogs as a way to achieve this.
Therapy animals can help people with autism build social communication skills, manage their emotions, and (for children) build play skills . Animals can also provide physical assistance, like carrying things for children or opening doors. This can be especially helpful for children with disabilities that limit their mobility
Marlo & Daisy are two therapy dogs that support the children at Reynalds Cross. 608 Vets who are part of Linnaeus are kindly sponsoring their preventative care to allow the dogs to remain healthy so they can continue supporting the children who attend Reynalds Cross.
Marlo & Daisy are not always available to support the children during some of the school day.
To help cover these gaps the school need support with funding a school mascot, Renny the dog. But as a team we thought we could go above their £1,800 target & support them with their wider needs. All funds raised above £1,800 will be used for playground improvements, which we will help build during the October half term.
Our running shoes are ready & the school children are joining us for the final mile & supporting us across the finish line.
