I've raised £5000 to sponsor me for the Mongol Derby

I have been officially accepted for the longest and toughest horse race in the world, travelling over 1000kms across the Mongolian land, meeting herders and changing semi-wild horse every 40km. Each rider is only allowed a maximum of 5kgs on their back to support them along this epic journey, I will be following an unmarked track using a digital GPS, however if any equipment is lost along the way I only have my gut; previous derby riders have been known to loose their belongings including saddles! The weather, terrain, horses and surrounding wildlife is very unpredictable!
The Mongol Derby was first implemented 10 years ago in remembrance of the Mongolian long distance postal messenger system, set up by Genghis Khan in 1224 and was the fastest way to connect 1/2 the planet in its time.
The race is in August 2019, it will take place within the first two weeks of the month. The race is televised, documented, posted on YouTube and shared across social media. You can also track any individual that's involved in the race & get live feedback!
Why sponsor me?
I am a determined individual that strives on challenges. There is no way I will fail, unless something very unfortunate occurs, I have ridden all my life & I am not shy of the task. My current profession is backing & training young racehorses for high profile trainers & owners; therefore I am very well trained for high spirited horses! I received my amateur jockey licence in January 2018, I have trained, schooled, exercised in every discipline in the equestrian industry, including taking many youngsters to their first outings.
The costs:
So overall to race in the derby it costs around £10,500 due to the amount of prep and support, a further £1,000 for flights, around £500-700 for equipment and of course raising as much money as we can for cool earth!
