Story
We, the Lancaster Muslim Community, are raising funds to address an urgent emergency in Palestine. As part of this fundraiser we are also having a football tournament on the 15th September at Lancaster University between 2pm to 6pm to create further awareness and support.
As many are aware, since the start of the conflict on October 7, more than 41,000 Palestinians have lost their lives, including over 15,000 children and over 10,000 women. Additionally, more than 80,000 Palestinians have been injured, and over 2 million people have become internally displaced. Families have fled south, where conditions are barely liveable. Urgent food, water, and medical supplies are required to ensure their survival.
The funds raised will go to charities working on the ground providing life-saving assistance for displaced families in Palestine. Your support is urgently needed to help the people of Palestine survive and to assist refugee families in starting over.
Please make a difference by using your Sadaqah for Palestine to provide urgent medical support, food, clean water, shelter, and family relocation assistance today. Additionally, donating your Zakat to Palestine will directly contribute to the emergency response program which is 100% Zakat-applicable.

5 months agoThank you to all those who supported this fundraiser. We have identified a solar powered well to be installed in a community of an ex Lancaster resident from Gaza. They had already raised £10,500, and were seeking help to raise the remaining £5,500 by mid October 2024. We have allocated 100% of our funds raised to this project. The well is situated in an area where large numbers of displaced people are living in dire conditions, providing clean water, free of charge, to at least 5000 people daily.
