Weʼve raised £5,885 to help with treatment costs outside of the NHS remit including the healthy lifestyle options I am choosing to help me.

    Story

The journey so far hasn't massively impacted our finances but I want to plan for the future & what I may need down the line if I end up in a situation where the NHS have run out of options. I don't plan for that to happen as I plan to be full clear of this nasty disease by then but it never hurts to plan ahead :)

I am on a healthy no sugar diet, with lots of vitamins from the health shop that don't come on prescription but I know are vital for killing cancer cells. With some of the trials and drugs I want to try that are known to kill bowel cancer, they maybe aren't as yet funded by the NHS purely because the drug companies cant decide what they wish to use these drugs for are expensive. With at least £2,000 a treatment session, and when you think of how many I may need it adds up.

There are also little things like gloves, the nerves in my fingers are being destroyed by this new lot of chemo, and having gloves in every handbag or in the car and next to the fridge makes a huge difference to me. Otherwise my fingers don't do what my brain tells them so simple things like blowing noses on the twins is an impossible task.

The ones in my toes are the same, so thicker socks have had to purchased, and new slippers. It all sounds like small things but they make a BIG difference to the pain I feel when going outside (even on the sunny days) walking on a cold floor and I immediately have pins and needles.

Finally being able to buy some new hair extensions or purchase a new wig as my hair grows back would be amazing. My hair loss didn't affect me massively but out of everything I do find it hard not having any. It is such an identity thing and whilst I don't have it as hard as some, scarfs have been great it would be nice to have a nice wig or some new extensions to attach daily to the hair I now have. Small things that make a big difference.

    Finally...

I am also on 4 new everyday drugs from a private clinic in London that have had so many publications and papers written on how they work and lots of very positive reviews but haven't quite made it into the NHS arena. There has been a lot of research to show that whilst on chemo, cancer cells are made weaker purely by taking these tablets giving the chemo a much better chance of killing them where it can! These aren't a ridiculous price at £60 every 3 months, and consultant appointments between £200 and £400. But again it soon mounts up.

I know there are people out there, friends and relatives who would happily support me through prayers, giving and with lots of love so please don't feel like you have to give via here but if you can and are able then please feel free to leave us a donation and it will be used towards to the things above that I have mentioned. Any donation is truly and hugely appreciated.

As I have said I know that through my faith I am healed already, I just need my body to line up with my mind so this isn't a forever thing but for now it would be greatly appreciated. :) Much love to you all for supporting our family in anyway you know how. X

So I am about to start the third lot of different treatment... not sure who I feel about it all but having missed another trail this is one of the only options. But don’t let that fool you that I am any less positive or on board for this fight! I am blown away by the support I have had and will make you all proud by fighting this until it’s gone! More trails will be found and I will push to get in as many as I can to find that one that works with my faith to completely cure me! Thank you and love to you all for being in this fight with me!! X
