Iʼve raised £3,505 to Provide Medical Translators, and Medical Supplies for Kylie in Thailand

Funded on Friday, 29th September 2017

    Story

Our EPIC, sexual health specialist nurse, team mate Kylie has taken herself off to Thailand to work with people in the Sex Industry - offering them free medical support and a little bit of love and VALUE. . .

Kylie has moved to Thailand full time to work down the South in an area called Sungai Kolok. The area is known well for it's Sex Industry (including, sadly, a large number of child sex workers), however many of the workers are foreign, trafficked, and are not entitled to health care.

Kylie, the only westerner in the area, moved there at the start of this year and already has her hands full with many projects (including teaching the Government Officials English! BOOM! Check her out, rubbing shoulders in high places ha!). In order for her to move forward with the health side of her work, she needs a little support:

    1) Medical Thai Translator:

Kylie has been studying Thai for many years now, however (as we are sure you are all aware) Medical Terminology is a very different ball game. It costs roughly £150 per month to employ someone to assist Kylie with her consultations.

    2) Medical Supplies
Kylie has already formed an incredible working relationship with the local Minister for Health in Sungai Kolok. He is desperate to look after the girls in the Sex Industry there, however he cannot as they are illegally in the country. He has offered Kylie full support in caring for the health needs of the girls, and will provide lab testing facilities (for HIV, STI's etc.). . . However this costs money!

We are walking 78 miles around London (The Capital Ring Walk) with a gang of friends from the 28th Aug - 1st Sep to help raise Money for Kylies work - don't worry she is a registered charity (https://my.give.net/20177464/Donate/GiftDetails).

Please give MEGA amounts to our walk :D, so we can help Kylie with her goals of employing a translator and buying the supplies needed to perform her work.

Love you all millions and millions - dig deep (grin emoji!)
