Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
A few years ago - way back when - a scruffy team of 5 colleagues set themselves a target to run the Sandstone Trail, as a relay team, in 7 hours. This was no small feat; rather, incredibly demanding only being 34 miles long. But it was incredibly enjoyable and something often fondly discussed in the office so...
This year, with a bigger team and an ever increasing enthusiasm towards smashing previous milestones, those at RLT Group are doing it again, but this time have a target to do it in 322 minutes (5 hours 22 minutes), in support of RRT's Operation 322. We are all huge supporters of this incredible charity, and would love your support towards this worthy cause.
Typically, the Trail is a summer, 3-day family walk, striding out along Cheshire's Sandstone ridges that rise dramatically from the flat plains of the North West. It is rural Cheshire at its best - quiet and sleepy at times, yet steeped in history and rich in wildlife. The well-wooded Peckforton Hills stand proud, and Beeston Castle commands panoramas of eight counties, whilst boasting an elevation change of up to 1,268 metres. It truly isn't for the faint-hearted, but doing it for such a special charity makes it that little bit easier.
RRT's Operation 322 volunteers work together to create relief for those at the heart of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, delivering emergency food and personal care supplies to those displaced. They have been dedicated to this for over a year, and so far, have delivered...228,201 Food Boxes, 22,800 Snack Packs, 8,638 Care Kits and 2.5 Million Meals. In 2023, RRT has increased it's output to maximise the impact and has teamed up with a Ukrainian based charity, to get Food Boxes produced and distributed and will be continuing to support Ukrainian refugees with truckloads of aid for the foreseeable future, being one of the last charities able to sustainably continue supplying the necessary essentials.
Our run will be taking place in early-May, and training is already underway. Keep a look out on our LinkedIn page (https://www.linkedin.com/company/rlt-group-global/) for weekly updates as we aim to increase our pace, reduce our times, and give back to RRT, a small portion of what they've given millions around the world in the recent years.
Your support is much appreciated; thanks in advance!
From all at RLT Group.
