Story

Hi

My name is Kornelia. I am 6 years old girl, full of beans. In age of 2 I was for the first time diagnosed with eczema. Since then the condition was managed and under control by doctors until a few months ago when the illness spread so fast that currently affected 90% of my entire body. It is painful, itchy and enable me my normal, active life. For those who know me, you know what I mean!!! Several independent specialists indicated that we are dealing with a rare form of eczema. This means that I am very prone to infections. We do not know what gets it worst – it can be literally anything! Doctors say, it is very difficult to treat such a condition, and it is not really possible outside the specialist hospital settings. Even tho it hearts, I am constantly treated with antihistamines., antibiotics and steroids for last past months. My immune system is so warned out I struggle to fight any additional infections and I am so prone to them. Doctors say that I am currently fighting staphylococcus infection. I am not sure what it is but I know this does not allow my skin to heal and causing further complications. I have wounds, scratches and scabs all over my body but I am still try to keep cheerful, but it is not easy. My skin is so damaged that I do not want to shower – it is too painful! I cannot sleep at night as my skin is so itching. Parents and doctors say I cannot scratch it, but it is hard to stop! My mum stays with me the whole night and watch me so I do not touch wounds so there my skin does not get damage more…., and it is not a reason for additional bleeding and scars.

The worst thing for me is I have to give up my new school….I spend days and nights in the hospital. I cannot play with my friends, I cannot go swimming pool or do my gymnastic whethever I could…..

Doctors say my liver and kidney function and her thyroid function is dysregulated, my skin does not respond for the treatment offered and my condition change from day today. My parents however fight for me! They found me innovative treatment in Germany! It is a friendly hospital where lots of people will take care of me and after 4 weeks hopefully, I will be back to my old myself. Doctors say this treatment will help me and allow me to go back to my normal life which I terribly miss…. My parents say that the cost of each day in the hospital in Germany is €250. I do not know how much it is but together I calculated we need nearly €13 000. This is a lot of money so I hope that our family and friends can help my mummy and daddy and me.

Thank you!

We are aiming to raise the sum of €13 000 to receive this treatment and enable normal life for such a fun and cheerful little child.

Thank you for your support. Your support in achieving this target would be hugely appreciated.
