With over 100 current members, Kings Newton Bowls Club is an important part of the local community, and this has been key to our vision for the club’s future. We want to offer the local community something new: a modern, purpose-built venue for all ages and abilities to enjoy social events, classes and affordable room hire. This has become even more important following the recent closure of the Melbourne Bowling Club and Melbourne Senior Citizen Community Centre.

Our existing clubhouse has been in place since the club was founded in 1982 and the time has come to look to the future and build a new, inclusive, sustainable facility. Planning applications are due for submission with a target construction start date in 2023. Fundraising is well underway with a significant sum already secured, however, we need to continue fundraising in order to proceed through the construction phase.
