I've raised £750 to Fund an expedition to Madagascar in July 2018. I am doing a 50 mile coastal litter pick from Hunstanton to Cromer at the end of March.

Story

During the Easter break I will be walking 50 miles (over 3 days) along the North Norfolk coast, from Hunstanton to Cromer.I am passionate about protecting the environment and I will be collecting litter from the beach along the way. I am fundraising for a trip I am embarking on this summer to Madagascar with ‘Operation Wallacea’. I will be collecting important data for resident scientists - first studying the declining lemur population in the dry forest, then the reef off Nosy B Island. This research will hopefully protect Madagascar; an incredibly diverse environment ,from deforestation and coastal reef damage. I have chosen to do a coastal litter pick walk , because I feel that I should definitely play my part in helping to improve and raise awareness of the large problem of littering in our seas, especially plastic. 90% of beach waste is plastic and the amount of rubbish washing up on the shores has increased by a shocking 10% since 2017. By sponsoring me you are not only helping me be part of an amazing opportunity to help with the environmental research in Madagascar, but also raising awareness of the need to protect our planet for us and future generations. I would be incredibly grateful for any sponsorship at all. Thank you 🐬
