I've raised £2000 to buy gifts for Bradford's care experienced young people so they know we are thinking of them this Christmas.

Story

Did you know that there are over a hundred young people in Bradford who will not have a safe home or family to spend Christmas with this year? Many of these young people have grown up in the care system, others have been displaced as a result of war and most have experienced abuse or trauma throughout childhood, becoming some of society’s most vulnerable people.

Our aim has always been to bring the young people who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day together, to celebrate with a team of volunteers whose job it is to have fun and make the day one to remember!

However, this year is a little bit different and we want to be super vigilant about the rising COVID cases in Bradford. We still want the care experienced community to feel special though, so our plan is similar to last year- to deliver delicious food, fancy hampers, gifts and smiles on Christmas Day so the young people know they are still in our thoughts.

Any contribution is much appreciated, but please see the gift list to get an idea of what presents you are contributing towards!
