Story
Kirkbymoorside Town Brass Band are currently raising money to build a new 200 seat concert hall in Kirkbymoorside adjoining our existing small cramped Band room.
The new hall will be used three nights a week by Kirkbymoorside scouts and cubs.
The rest of the time it will be available for our six bands to practice.
We currently have around 125 playing members aged 7 to 80, all being taught by the band, playing instruments supplied by the band, all free of charge.
Through grants and generous local donations we have raised around £320,000, the cost of the new hall is estimated at £370,000 so you can see we have a bit to go.
We have started building and have enough funds to complete a watertight shell. We are now raising money to fit plumbing electrics and decorating etc.
To raise funds I am doing a Parachute jump on the 16th February
