I've raised £5000 to help fund The OSCAR Foundation's #kicklikeagirl UK Tour 2018

The OSCAR foundation works with young people and children living very challenging lives in the poorest communities across India. Over 60% of the OSCAR staff live in the communities they serve and are ideally placed to guide and mentor both parents and children. OSCAR children are taught to work hard, face difficulties with determination and to believe in their dreams.
In 2017, 14 talented OSCAR boys were selected to take part in a football, education and culture tour of the UK. The tour was sponsored by thousands of school children, who did everything from run, swim, bake, hike and dribble a ball to raise money to make it happen. The tour touched the heart of the nation. The team was invited by Manchester United player, Juan Mata to a private tour of Old Trafford, they swung from zip wires at Go Ape, marvelled at The Lion King, had their heads in the clouds on the London Eye and learnt to sleep in a bed. The boys made new friends, ate new food with a knife and fork and tried and hated marmite. It was a cross cultural experience. A win win for all.
It is now time for the OSCAR girls to hit the headlines. Bradfield College will be hosting the team for one of the tour matches and our pupils are raising funds to help make the tour a success. Please help OSCAR provide the same experience for 14 Under 17 girls in Oct 18.
