Story
Supporting your community football club and your local NHS Care home at the same time. Sharing 50% of all finds raised with Charlton House.
Keynsham Town FC, an FA Community Charter Standard club founded in 1895, and we know how challenging it is with the Corona virus sweeping through our country and we feel the pain of having no football from under 6s to over 76s yet with bills to pay but no income.
We want to raise much needed funds, but also put something back into our community at the same time. We identified Charlton House, an NHS Care Home that provides residential care and health services for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities, that could benefit from our support. We wanted to help their staff and residents during these challenging and difficult times which is why we are sharing 50% of any funds raised with them.
So Keynsham Town FC are looking to you to help both organisations, with 50% of any donations received going directly to Charlton House, and the other 50% to the football club. Regardless of how large or small the amount, every little bit will make a difference.
We are reaching out to our community to ask for your help to support both the football club and Charlton House.
Charlton house provide a broad range of activities with the aim of enhancing independence by developing and maintaining peoples skills, interests and abilities they also help with both respite and day care, all of which has to come out of a tight budget that is always under pressure so any funds we can raise will make a difference.
The staff at Charlton House are caring, hardworking and committed to giving their best each day whilst protecting their residents from COVID19, often with limited PPE. Residents access to the outside world has been severely disrupted as has ours, and when many of us return to some form of normality and even football, the residents along with their dedicated care home staff will remain at high risk with restrictions in place for many more weeks if not months.
Keynsham Town FC provide skills, discipline and a central hub to the children, older footballers in the community and disability football. But did you know they also raise funds for charitable causes?
Did you know that over the past few years Keynsham Town FC have donated over £14,000 to charitable causes that include, Teenage Cancer Trust, Children’s Hospice South West, Jessie May Foundation and The NHS. But due to this unprecedented time, the football club now finds itself in need of help from our community and funding for the forth coming season, which we expect to be particularly challenging with many of our sponsors going through difficult times.
We as a football club proudly operate teams in the Toolstation Premier League and Somerset County Premier League and must find money to pay for affiliation fees, Insurance, traveling costs, fees for officials, kit, and equipment and in these current times it wont be easy without the support of our community.
Your support, regardless of how large or small will help to secure the future of both Keynsham Town FC and provide much needed and welcomed support for the amazing staff and residents at Charlton House (a facility we may all need one day).
On behalf of all involved at Keynsham Town Football Club, many thanks for your support and if you would like more information about our charitable work, the charities we support, our services then please visit our club website or follow us on social media.
