I've raised £3000 to help disadvantaged kids and families through "Lisa's Gift Charity".

May 15th of this year saw the tenth anniversary of my sister Lisa's untimely death. As a way of marking this, while at the same time doing something positive in her memory, I've decided to take on the challenge of visiting at least ten squash clubs , taking in every region of mainland Scotland. At each club I'll either take part in an exhibition match or hold a coaching clinic, depending on each one's preference. The catch is that I have to complete this task within one weekend !!!
6th, 7th & 8th Of July 2018...
Friday (5pm-10pm): Galashiels - Tyne - Edinburgh Sports Club - Grange
Saturday (10am-10pm): Dalgety Bay - Forthill - Aberdeen - Thurso
Sunday (10am-10pm): Inverness - Oban - Bridge of Allan - Glasgow - Dumfries
My hope is that each club will, in return for my flying visit, choose to make a small donation to the Lisa's Gift charity which was set up in her memory in 2014. The charity operates within the Renfrewshire area, providing financial assistance to schools to enable pupils to take part in the wide variety of extra curricular activities which require a monetary contribution from the home. It is the charity's belief that no child should ever miss out on such an important aspect of school life as a result of difficult domestic circumstances.
Since its inception the charity has provided £47,000 to help boys and girls take part in school trips, both within Scotland and further afield. The money has helped set up breakfast clubs and haven units within schools; it has enabled pupils to acquire such necessities as school uniforms and PE kits, as well as many other worthwhile projects. The more money that the charity can raise, the more it can help make school a positive experience for all children.
