Story
Kettering Town Cricket Club needs your help.
KTCC is a successful cricket club in North Northamptonshire. The club was established in 1885 and plays at our beautiful ground off Northampton Road, Kettering. The club has won numerous local honours over the years and has helped to produce several professional players.
We currently run 5 adult teams on Saturdays and have just established a women’s team for the first time in our history. There is a thriving junior section with around 70 boys and girls in our junior teams from Under 9's to Under 19's. We also run the ECB “Get into Cricket” programmes, Allstars and Dynamos, for even younger children. Kettering Cricket Club is an ECB Clubmark accredited club, showing that the club is well run and provides the right environment in every respect for its members, young and old.
KTCC and Covid-19.
Last year, we asked for your help and you were fantastically supportive in helping us raise much needed funds to maintain the Club and also donate to our chosen charity, Kettering General Hospital Charity Fund. We were also very pleased to be able to hand over £1700 to the KGH Twinkling Stars Appeal as a result of your support.
Over the next week or two, our members will once again be taking on our T10 Challenge; young and old will be setting their own Everest. Last year, we had people sleeping out for 10 nights, catching 1000 catches, cycling to the 10 nearest cricket clubs, running 10K, walking, etc – in fact everything you can imagine.
Whilst the overall situation is looking so much better than this time last year and we are very hopeful that we will be able to play more cricket this year, we hope you will consider making a financial contribution towards Kettering Town Cricket Club.
The money raised will go towards improving our practice facilities at the Club to meet the demand of our growing membership. We will again be sharing any money raised with KGH. https://www.kgh.nhs.uk/kgh-charity-fund
Thank you very much for supporting KTCC – we hope you will come and visit us once things are back to normal.

4 years agoThank you once again for all the generous support of our fundraiser. I spoke with KGH Charity coordinator this week who expressed his sincere thanks to all the participants and donors. We have invited him to the Club for a cheque hand over as soon as possible and the money will go towards their staff support and wellbeing fund. On our part, the funds raised give us a start towards our practice nets renovation fund so thank you to everyone who got involved and/or donated.

4 years agoOne week on- my legs have just about recovered! Thank you to everybody for making this such a success again. We are truly humbled by the most generous donations to KTCC and KGH - very many thanks to each and every supporter. We've achieved our initial target, meaning we will be able to pass over over £300 to KGH Staff Fund as a small thank you for their remarkable work, especially over the last 12 months. And thanks to all the members who took part - hope your muscles have also eased! There's still time to do a challenge and to donate.

4 years agoA few sore muscles amongst Club members today I imagine! Great efforts from lots of people over the weekend - lots of 10Ks run / walked / ridden plus various other exploits - 1000 catches and "keepie-uppies", darts marathon, 1000 seconds of sprinting on the spot....... well done everyone! And a very sincere thank you to everyone for your very generous support of the Club - it is very much appreciated and it will also be a real pleasure to hand over some funds to KGH Staff Charity in due course. Still time to perform and donate if you want.
