    Story

Kettering Town Cricket Club needs your help.

KTCC is a successful cricket club in North Northamptonshire. The club was established in 1885 and plays at our beautiful ground off Northampton Road, Kettering. The club has won numerous local honours and has helped to produce several professional players over the years.

We run 5 adult teams on Saturdays and have just established a women’s team for the first time in our history. There is a thriving junior section with around 70 boys and girls in our teams from Under 9's to Under 19's. We also run the ECB “Get into Cricket” programmes, Allstars and Dynamos for even younger children. Kettering Cricket Club is an ECB Clubmark accredited club.

    KTCC and Covid-19

Whilst the suspension of all cricket activity is obviously the right thing given the current situation, it has created a significant financial challenge for our cricket club.

Cricket is a seasonal sport; we rely on funds collected during the season to get us through the next 12 months. As things stand, we don’t know when this season will start if at all. And so at present we find ourselves spending money on maintaining our ground and facilities but not taking any income from match fees or social events. We are forecasting a shortfall in income of around £5000 for the season.

We appreciate that this is a challenging time in so many ways for everyone, but hope you will consider making a financial contribution towards ensuring the future of Kettering Town Cricket Club.

We also want to support our local heroes at Kettering General Hospital and so we will be splitting all donations 2:1 with KGH Charity Fund https://www.kgh.nhs.uk/kgh-charity-fund

Thank you very much for supporting KTCC and KGH– we hope you will come and visit the Club once things are back to normal.

Thank you for your generous donations towards our appeal for KTCC and KGH Charity Fund. We have been truly overwhelmed by the support you have given and your kind words of encouragement. The Hospital is also very grateful- to date, we will be passing over £1700. Very many thanks to everyone of you. A special mention to Charlotte B who completed 10 nights sleeping out as her challenge! Brilliant! We will be closing this appeal soon so we can release the funds to KGH so it can make a difference for the staff there. Thank you for supporting KTCC.

It's KTCC T10 day where members of all ages across the club are doing a challenge to raise money for the Club. From climbing 1000 feet of stairs (272 flights) to 1000 catches, running, walking, cycling- estimated cumulatively about 1000 km so far, egg catching, handstands, keepie -uppie - it's all going on. Thank you one and all for participating and a huge thanks to everyone who has donated to this fund. You've not only helped the Club in these tricky times, but we now have nearly £1500 for KGH Charity Fund. Still time to donate if you want.

Thank you for visiting our Just Giving page. It is my great pleasure to be the current Chair of Kettering Town Cricket Club and to contribute to its illustrious history. Unlike many cricket clubs, we are still growing; this year we started a Saturday 5ths and a Women's team.
