Amelia was born at 32 weeks gestation a tiny 3lb, placed on a ventilator when born she has fought since day one, she was diagnosed with Autism aged 3 and is non verbal, Amelia is also gastro fed through a tube in her tummy, sadly most of her life has been spent in and out of hospital fighting various infections including covid twice this year! Amelia is now 8 years old and im tired of people writing her off saying she will never speak! aged 2 Amelia was saying words like bird, peppa, then sadly she lost it ,I know its in there its finding a way to get it out! living in the scottish highlands the resources are limited and im starting the fight to take my child all the way down to London to get 2 consultations from experts in the private sector. To see if there is a chance she will ever speak and if not then how to communicate with us on a daily basis. My dream is to hear my child say mum or be able to tell me when she wants something , After 7 operations last year alone nothing phases her at all and now this is our new fight thank you so much for reading xx
