My little sister Laura was a 35 year old mum to 3 little girls whom she doted on, and her girls loved her just as much. She longed for a little boy to complete her family. Her wish came true when she fell pregnant and at a scan comfirmed they were carrying their long awaited son. Laura had to have a C section to deliver her beautiful son at 36 weeks on Tuesday 3rd May 2022 as he had stopped growing. He was taken to the neonatal unit were he went from strength to strength. After 3 weeks he was strong enough and had put weight on to go home with his dad. Laura unfortunately wasnt. After a catastrophic Haemorrhage a few hours after delivering her new son laura was rushed to theatre and given a blood transfusion. She was seriously unwell and spent 3 weeks in ICU at Newcastles Royal Victora Infirmary on life support. Laura has always had to fight battles during her short life. And she fought more than ever, even regaining Consciousness for a short period of time. She got to meet her little boy and spend time with hun her husband Of 14 years. Things were looking hopeful until monday 23rd after needing emergency surgery on her bowel, she never regained consciousness. The damage and trauma to her body was to much even for her to battle. She passed away peacefully with her husband and family at her bedside holding her hand 2 days later. Laura left behind a heart broken husband, 3 little girls and a newborn son who will never know his mum.

The Hilpert family would love to give Laura the send off she deserves, but in the current climate they havent got the finances to accomadate this. Her husband is out of work and has now 4 children to look after so money is even more tight. I would love to relieve the pressure of funeral expenses for him so he doesnt have to worry and can concentrate on his children and their needs.
