Story
Sulley is our 3 yr old Toy poodle × Pomaranian (aka Pomapoo!). He is a tiny (4.3kg) dog with a big attitude! A crazy pup who loves nothing more than stealing socks and snuggling up for cuddles. He is our absolute fur baby and a big brother to our 9 month old human baby Theo!
Sulley has always been healthy and is up to date with his vaccinations and health checks. However on sunday (21/08/22) everything suddenly changed. He started vomitting and diarrhoea late in the evening and overnight. By yesterday morning he was completely flat, unable to walk. We took him to our vets and they kept him in for fluids. Unfortunatly Sulley only deteriorated throughout the day. He had numerous scans and tests to try and find the cause. His heart rate was extremely high, his temperature low, extremely deyhdrated despite the fluids. He continued to deteriorate and by the evening he was passing blood.
Our vet said that he was now critically unwell and required a specialist animal hospital. We picked him up in the evening and drove over an hour to the hospital where we were told he was unlikely to make it through the night.
Luckily he did make it however he is still critically unwell. He is being treated for a severe gastroenteritis. He has a central line and a feeding tube in as well as IV fluids, antibiotics, glucose bolus', pain meds and anti-sickness meds.
He hasn't yet been able to sit up although did manage to lift his head today. He may need a blood transfusion over night tonight.
Sulley is our absolute world and we want to provide him with every treatment offered to try and save him. Obviously this comes at a huge financial cost, currently his vet bill is £5702 for everything so far (not including potential tranfusions/future treatments). But we cannot say no and stop treating our baby whilst he still has a chance. He is only 3 yrs old, he deserves a life growing up with Theo.
Any donation no matter how small would mean the world to us and help save Sulley.
Thank you x
