For those of you who don't know me, I have been a TA at Mill Water School for seven years. I love my job and it's a privilege to work with such wonderful children and fantastic staff. I enjoy running and when a group of friends said they were applying for the London Marathon, I thought I would give it ago. I had been told it's really difficult to get a place and people apply year on year and have never been chosen. So when I had an email saying congratulations you have a place in the 2024 London Marathon I was shocked!! My life has now become work, run,eat,sleep repeat!I am getting fitter but I won't be running round in any fantastic speed but I will get round, so I thought it would be a great opportunity help with the fund raising for an outside classroom for our school. It will be a fantastic addition to school, the young people will get so much out of it, a lovely space to learn and play without the constraints of the traditional classroom, it will be a relaxing natural environment perfect for their health and well being.
