Story

Katherine has understood, for some time, that the growing power of supermarkets and large industrial processors was detrimental to farmers, other smaller producers and ultimately the quality of the food produced. Katherine recognised that the significant shift, in agriculture, to monocrop farming practices along with increased use of chemicals would result in a loss of nutritious value in our food. She was right.

Upon realising that the people were ready to start working on decentralising the current agricultural power structure she launched The Peoples Food and Farming Alliance in September 2022.

Since launching PFFA Katherine has been working for free. This is not sustainable. Katherine is a single Mum to three children and in order to dedicate herself fully to PFFA she needs to be paid for her time. Katherine firmly believes in food sovereignty and that PFFA has a role in achieving and maintaining this for the people of the UK. Led by Katherine the PFFA have the solutions - we need to start putting them in place now!
