Tonight (1st March) I went into Oxford with 6 hot water bottles to hand out to people spending the night in the snow. I didn't expect to find many people on the streets as the council had told me it offers shelter to everyone in freezing conditions, but sadly this does not seem to be the case. The hot water bottles were snapped up in no time and there weren't nearly enough to go around. I'm planning to go back tomorrow night and every night until the cold snap is over (if I can't make it due to the snow, a friend who lives in town has offered to take over). I have secured pledges from local businesses to re-fill the bottles any time, so they are great value for money, but I need funding to source dozens of cheap hot water bottles. A £3 hot water bottle can make all the difference in this snowy weather, so please throw a couple of quid this way if you can. THANK YOU!!!
