I've raised £500 to Raise funds to support the fantastic work the Shrewsbury Men's Shed already do in supporting men to connect, converse and create.

I am walking the (roughly) 74 Miles of the north route of the Shropshire way along with my Uncle Fil to raise funds for a vital organisation in the heart of Shrewsbury. Shrewsbury Men's Shed is a vital resource for men of all age's to connect, to talk and have a safe space to be who they want to be. I first visited the shed 18 months ago, where I Met Simon and one of the shedders, This Particular "shedder" shared openly and honestly how The Shed had been there for him when he really was at his lowest, the way he described it was that he was able to speak to who he wanted how he wanted, when he wanted. Sometimes he didn't want to talk, sometimes he did, and the shed gave him that freedom to do so.
Well, that was me hooked! Over time the Shed supported some of the services I have started to offer support to people affected by cancer in my day job as a Personalised Care Navigator for Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals Trust. They let me use the community room to host a Men only Cancer support group "Men Like Us" and the hugely beneficial Horticultural therapy course funded by Lingen Davies. Having seen first hand the effect this space has on the men that attend, has absolutely humbled me and I want to help more men be able to access this amazing resource! Too many men suffer with poor mental health and isolation especially in their older year's and the support and community the Men's Shed offer needs to continue to grow into the future!
So even though things are difficult at the moment financially I would be so grateful if you could spare a few pennies or even just a share to support this wonderful charity.
If any one would like to join me at any point of the walk they would be most welcome too!
