Following a recent break-in at my son George’s nursery, (Tick Tocks Day Nursery in Axminster) I have challenged myself to walk 100 miles before Christmas and would be so grateful for any support you can give please.

I really want to raise funds for extra resources and activities for the children that will support their learning, development, mindfulness, wellbeing and special educational needs now more than ever through the pandemic. They are missing out on many social interactions at the moment, which are so important in their early years, and the nursery is working hard to make it a place they can still interact and engage with others and can continue to learn and develop as children should.

The nursery team are such incredibly kind, caring and passionate people who look after George (and me) like a family. They have worked tirelessly and professionally to keep the nursery a safe place during the pandemic despite all the difficulties they have experienced.

Like lots of others this year, the owners of this small family run business have been impacted greatly and with very little financial support have had to make a few staff redundant. They have shown amazing resilience and continued in their endeavours to support the children and their families through these hard times.

This challenge isn’t going to be an easy one for me (I haven’t moved much since March..) and my trainers are in for a shock! I know that this is a hard time for everyone, but if you do have a couple of pounds spare to help, I would be enormously grateful.
